AI Expert/ Head of AI

Your role & responsibilities

Design and architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model training workflows, inference systems, and enterprise integration.

• Create and lead AI native development scheme based on AI agent for core business area which can be future value

• Support multiple offshore/ outsourcing AI projects by reviewing technical designs and providing guidance to development teams.

• Build and optimize AI models (LLM, NLP, Computer Vision, predictive analytics) and develop reusable AI components and microservices.

• Collaborate with NEC Global teams on technical proposals, system validation, and production deployment.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support teams throughout the implementation phase.

• Research emerging AI technologies and contribute to internal best practices, frameworks, and reusable assets.

• Mentor junior members and support capability development within NEC Vietnam.

Your skills & qualifications

Education & Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of deep specialization in AI.

• At least 3 years of experience managing AI teams and collaborating with international partners.

• Experience supporting diverse client projects in offshore/ outsourcing environments.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience in ML/DL, Generative AI, LLM fine-tuning, RAG, and MLOps.

• Proficiency with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, CrewAI, vector databases, and cloud AI platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).

• Solid understanding of system architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and data engineering.

• Hands-on experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise production environments.

Leadership & Communication:

• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage cross-functional projects, and drive innovation.

• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with a business-oriented mindset.

• Good communication skills in English (required); Japanese is a plus.
