The Job
Objective
Lead the Consumer Solutions squad to deliver high-impact consumer experiences (partner/integration heavy domains such as OTA/Movie and adjacent services), while reducing BAU load through automation and strengthening reliability, release safety, and measurable business outcomes.
What you will own
- Outcome ownership: drive measurable improvements in conversion, reliability, operational efficiency, and time-to-market for Consumer Solutions.
- Cross-functional leadership: align with Product/Business on priorities using clear trade-offs and ROI narratives; secure resources for high-return initiatives.
- Engineering execution: ensure predictable delivery, release guardrails (checklists/canary/rollback), and incident discipline (MTTR, post-release learnings).
- Partner/integration management: manage external dependencies, SLAs, and change management; reduce “surprise” launches and last-minute churn.
- BAU reduction: build self-serve tools, templates, and playbooks to reduce recurring operational workload and improve support SLA performance.
- Team development: coach engineers, grow senior/lead talent, and create a healthy, high ownership culture.
ob Requirements
- 5+ years in software engineering; 2+ years leading teams with delivery accountability.
- Proven experience in partner/integration-heavy products (marketplace, travel, payments, commerce, etc.) with SLAs and operational realities.
- Strong stakeholder influence: can persuade PO/Biz with ROI + trade-offs
- Solid technical judgment: can review designs, challenge assumptions, and enforce engineering standards (observability, performance, release safety, security).
- Track record of building mechanisms (dashboards, guardrails, runbooks, automation) rather than relying on personal heroics.
Nice to have
- Experience with experimentation/A/B testing, growth loops, or conversion optimization.
- Familiarity with microservices, modular architecture, API gateways, caching, rate limiting, and observability stacks.
- Experience reducing BAU through tooling and self-serve operations.
- Exposure to AI/automation for ops/SDLC efficiency.
