• Quality Engineering Leadership: Oversee and execute comprehensive testing strategies, maintaining a high-standard automation-first approach (70% automated / 30% manual) within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Advanced Automation Strategy: Drive the development, scaling, and maintenance of E2E automation frameworks for Web, API, and asynchronous workflows.
• System Observability & Debugging: Leverage Datadog to monitor system health, analyze logs, and identify bottlenecks or failures within complex service interdependencies.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to provide deep testability insights and accurate estimations for complex technical features.
• Architectural Validation: Design testing approaches to validate high-throughput data streams (e.g., Kafka) and long-running business orchestrations (e.g., Temporal).
• Product Advocacy: Proactively communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose technical solutions that improve system reliability and user experience.
• Framework Innovation: Continuously enhance testing frameworks and CI/CD integration to support rapid, scalable deployment cycles.

Your Skills and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience building and maintaining E2E automation frameworks for Web and API. Experience with Microservices systems is required.
• Programming Mastery: Strong proficiency in modern programming languages like TypeScript or JavaScript, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Technical Stack:
  • Experience with Playwright or CodeceptJS is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and workflow engines (Temporal) is a significant plus.
  • Experience using Datadog (or similar APM tools) for log analysis and system monitoring.
• Backend Proficiency: Strong experience with relational databases, complex SQL queries, and validating data integrity across distributed systems.
• DevOps Integration: Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure stable automated deployments.
• Quality Mindset: A "deep-dive" approach to debugging, a sharp eye for functional details, and a passion for mentoring others on complex technical issues.
• Emerging Tech: Familiarity with using AI for testing operations is a plus.
