Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. You will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure server-side applications that power our products and services. The ideal candidate is passionate about building efficient systems, has strong problem-solving skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build high-concurrency backend services using Go or Java to support global e-commerce scale.
- Develop and optimize AI-powered search features, including vector-based semantic search and integration with LLM-driven workflows.
- Build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability and optimized performance for large-scale media assets.
- Implement event-driven architectures and microservices that communicate via high-performance message brokers.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment in a containerized environment.
- Collaborate on the design of complex database schemas (Postgres) and search index mappings (OpenSearch) to ensure data integrity and query efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of professional experience in backend development (can be open to young talents with less experience), with a strong preference for Go (Golang) or Java.
- Proven experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), including deep knowledge of storage optimization and serverless components.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and search engines like OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with modern AI concepts, vector embeddings and integrating with AI APIs to build smart features.
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience handling / processing high-traffic APIs is a plus.
- Good English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with regional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience with Vector Databases (e.g. OpenSearch Vector Engine).
- Knowledge of building and optimizing Digital Asset Management (DAM) or content delivery systems.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
