The Job
We are looking for a Game Server Developer to design, develop, and operate robust backend systems that support live game services.
You will work closely with client developers and other teams to build scalable, efficient, and reliable server architectures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side systems for game content and core services
- Implement gameplay logic and functional modules on the server
- Design and implement scalable server architectures
- Handle network communication using TCP/IP and socket-based systems
- Manage data synchronization between server and client
- Design and operate databases for game services
- Implement multi-threaded and asynchronous processing
- Conduct server optimization and performance testing
- Build, operate, and maintain backend systems to support live services
- Improve server operation environments, tools, and pipelines
- Collaborate closely with client programmers and other team
Required Skills & Competencies
- Experience in server-side programming for games or online services
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Proficiency in C++ programming
- Understanding of object-oriented programming
- Understanding of multi-threaded and asynchronous programming
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Basic understanding of database systems (RDBMS / NoSQL)
- Passion and dedication to game development
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Positive mindset and proactive communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
- Logical thinking and creative problem-solving ability
Technical Skills
- Socket-based network programming
- Scalable server system design and implementation
- Server performance optimization and validation
- Database schema design and data handling
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Ability to build and maintain backend services for live operations
- Familiarity with Linux server environments
- Experience working with client–server communication structures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing online or live service games
- Experience with cloud infrastructure for live operations
- Familiarity with backend caching or ranking systems
- Experience improving server operation tools and environments
- Understanding of cross-platform client–server data synchronization
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
- Familiarity with C# or other server-side languages is a plus
- Familiarity with Linux server environments
- Experience working with client–server communication structures
