IoT Application Engineer

Your role & responsibilities

As IoT Application Engineer I, you are responsible for:

• Design and develop robust and scalable IoT applications, solution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IoT applications.
• Work closely with the Automation & IT team to work on the concept for specific customer projects.
• Provide technical support to customers and Business department if required.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of the new Automation devices or Machines at site.
• Travel to customer sites to do site study.
• Actively participate in webinar, seminar and online training class to get latest technology know-how about Automation & IIoT organized by our principles.
• Train customer if required.
• Must comply with company regulations.
• Other duties will be discussed in detail during interview.

Your skills & qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / industrial automation engineering
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience of electrical/ automation maintenance in manufacturing company
• Experience with EPLAN or Electrical AutoCAD. Well understanding of electrical drawings especially drive and control systems and PLC
• Experience with industrial protocol such as Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, MQTT, OPCUA, (s)FTP, …
• PLC programming: experience with PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi,..) is a plus
• SCADA programming: experience with SCADA platforms (AVEVA, Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition,..). Must have experience within PLC and control system integration fields is a plus
• Experience with Cloud platform services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS...is preferable.
• Experience in Access database, SQL server, PostgreSQL...
  

Professional and Technical Skills

• Reporting and Presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD/EPLAN
• Good at English
