The Job
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design and implement machine learning systems. You will focus on building and deploying machine learning systems. You will collaborate and be mentored by leadership, who formerly worked as ML engineers/researchers at Google Gemini and Waymo.
This is a fully remote position with flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build systems that retrieve proprietary data for LLMs, focusing on retrieval accuracy, embedding strategies, and context management.
- Fine-tune and train models for domain-specific tasks, including dataset curation, cleaning, and performance evaluation.
- Write robust, production-grade code to deploy models into scalable applications, ensuring maintainability and performance.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI models from research/prototyping to production environments.
Your Skills and Experience
Requirements
- Practical experience with modern machine learning and AI techniques.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently to navigate technical challenges.
- English Fluency
Nice to Have
- Experience with PyTorch for model development.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment.
- Experience with Ray or similar frameworks for distributed training and serving.
- Track record on data science competitions (i.e. Kaggle Master/GrandMaster)
- Published research in top-tier AI conferences (i.e. NeurIPS/ICLR/ICML)
- Flexible remote working arrangements.
- Work independently and have autonomy and freedom. You'd be our first ML engineer hire.
- Lead new AI initiatives and projects. No need to work on large legacy codebases.
