Material Control (Indonesia Business Trip Required)

Job Description

Position Overview:

Lead end-to-end material preparation and control activities for New Model Launch (NML) projects from SOP – 6 months through Mass Production stabilization, ensuring: Zero line-stop due to material shortage; Optimized inventory level; On-time and on-budget vehicle launch; Effective supply chain risk mitigation during ramp-up phase.

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Model Material Planning & Readiness

Analyze new model BOM and Engineering Changes (ECR/ECO)

Develop material readiness plan aligned with Trial Build / Pilot / SOP milestones

Establish Life of Balance (LoB) strategy for all project components

Monitor and ensure PPAP material readiness

2. Shortage Risk Management

Identify and maintain High-Risk Parts list

Track ETA, in-transit status, and customs clearance

Lead daily/weekly shortage meetings with Purchasing, Logistics, Production & Suppliers

Develop contingency plans: Air freight / Local sourcing / Safety stock / Alternative parts

3. Inventory & Cost Optimization

Control inventory build-up prior to SOP

Assess excess risk due to design changes

Conduct inventory projection analysis by project phase

Propose optimal safety stock strategy for new model

4. Team Leadership

Allocate specialists by commodity/area

Coach team on MRP logic, SAP MM/PP, and risk assessment

Develop launch control dashboard

Manage KPI performance and team capability development

5. System & Reporting

Utilize SAP to monitor MRP runs, PR/PO/GR status, stock vs. requirement analysis

Develop and maintain key reports:

Material Readiness Report

Launch Risk Dashboard

Shortage Escalation Report

Inventory Exposure Report

6. Cross-Functional & Global Coordination

Act as Material Control representative in Core Launch Team

Collaborate with Global Manufacturing Operations and international suppliers

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields

- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Material Control / Production Planning / Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment

- Ability to analyze BOM, Production Plan, LoB, Coverage Days, and Inventory Projection

- Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/PP) or equivalent ERP systems
