• Environment Management: Work primarily with bare metal environments to support, deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain product environments.
• Kubernetes Operations: Contribute to managing, debugging, and operating the Kubernetes fleet.
• Infrastructure as Code: Define and manage big-data infrastructure and bare-metal infrastructure using IaC, configuration management, and deployment orchestration scripts.
• Microservices Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment for micro-service architecture.
• Automation: Build tools to automate operations and reduce manual toil.
• Monitoring: Build and maintain efficient and reliable monitoring systems.
• Documentation: Document operational processes, configurations, and best practices for all systems.

Your Skills and Experience

1. Must have:

• Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in at least one scripting-oriented programming language, such as Python or Golang, for automation and tool development.
• Systems & Networking: Solid understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, DNS) and Linux/Unix administration.
• CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Observability Stack: Experience with the Grafana Stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Prometheus), including PromQL & LogQL.
• Reliability: Strong knowledge of performance tuning, security, load balancing, and complex system troubleshooting.
• Database Administration: Strong knowledge and experience with Database administration, including routine maintenance and fail-over procedures.

2. Plus points:

• Expertise in Observability: Ability to design end-to-end monitoring strategies aligned with business outcomes.
• Hashicorp Stack: Experience with Hashicorp Nomad, Consul, and Vault.
• Network Security: Experience with VPNs (OpenVPN, Wireguard) and Iptables.
• Virtualization: Experience with the vSphere platform.
• Big Data Stack: Experience with Hadoop/Yarn, Spark, Kafka, etc.; understanding how Hadoop/Spark works and the ability to track errors and performance issues.
