YOU

As a Web Production Designer, you bring strong technical HTML and CSS abilities combined with creative design skills and visual problem-solving expertise. You have experience working with modern content management systems and email platforms, and can efficiently create engaging digital experiences using component-based design systems. You’re equally comfortable configuring CMS components and hand-coding HTML when needed. Your attention to detail and structured approach to work ensures high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision, and you communicate effectively across time zones.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• 40% of the time you’ll build and edit web pages using our Bloomreach CMS and pre-built component library. You’ll work from design briefs, wireframes, and creative assets to configure and customize components, creating polished web pages that meet both business and technical requirements.
• 35% of the time you’ll build and edit email campaigns in HubSpot. You’ll translate designs into functional email templates, ensure cross-client compatibility, and maintain our email design standards across campaigns.
• 25% of the time you’ll manually code HTML and create image-based load tables for our product pages. This requires precision coding skills and attention to detail to ensure product information displays correctly and loads efficiently across all browsers and devices.

Your Skills and Experience

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

• Degree or diploma in Design, Web Design, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Formal education is valued but not required if you have a strong portfolio and relevant work experience

Technical Skills

• Content Management Systems (Required): 2+ years of experience working with enterprise CMS platforms (Bloomreach, WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, or similar). Must be comfortable navigating component libraries and configuring pre-built modules
• Email Marketing Platforms (Required): 2+ years building email campaigns in platforms like HubSpot, Mailchimp, Marketo, or similar. Must understand email client limitations and how to code for inbox compatibility
• Design Tools (Required): Proficiency in Figma (primary tool) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator). Should be able to extract assets, work from design files, and make minor design adjustments
• Responsive Design (Required): Deep understanding of mobile-first design principles, breakpoints, and creating layouts that work across all device sizes
• Cross-Browser Testing (Required): Experience testing and debugging across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and mobile browsers
• Email Client Testing (Required): Experience testing emails across Gmail, Outlook (desktop and web), Apple Mail, Yahoo, and mobile email clients
• HTML/CSS (Required): Comfortable writing clean, semantic HTML and CSS. Must be able to hand-code table-based layouts for email and product pages without relying on visual builders

Communication & Work Style

• English Proficiency (Required): Strong written English skills for daily communication via Slack, email, and project management tools. Comfortable writing clear status updates, asking clarifying questions, and documenting work
• Self-Direction (Required): Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once you understand the requirements. Know when to problem-solve on your own vs. when to ask questions
• Detail-Oriented (Required): Meticulous attention to detail - checking your own work for pixel-perfect accuracy, broken links, typos, and cross-browser issues before submitting

Portfolio Requirements

Must submit a portfolio showing:

• Examples of web pages you’ve built (please note if you hand-coded vs. used a CMS)
• Examples of email campaigns you’ve coded
• Examples of table-based layouts or product pages
• For each example, please describe: your role, tools used, and any technical challenges you solved

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience specifically with Bloomreach CMS
• Experience specifically with HubSpot
• Basic JavaScript/jQuery knowledge
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
• Experience with A/B testing and optimization
• Photography or image editing skills
• Experience working with international or US-based companies
