The Job
We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Specialist (Japanese speaking) to join our team in Tokyo, Japan. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience with GCP core services, networking, security, and IaC, with the ability to design and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments.
Your Skills and Experience** Willing to relocate to Tokyo (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure GCP environments.
- Implement enterprise landing zones, project structure, and cloud governance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform / Ansible and scripting.
- Build and manage VPCs, Shared VPCs, load balancers, DNS, hybrid connectivity.
- Apply security best practices (IAM, policies, network security controls).
- Monitor performance, cost, and security posture of cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and support development/operations teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
Required Skills
GCP Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of core GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, VPC networking, IAM.
- Strong hands-on experience setting up landing zones, project structure, and enterprise-grade resource hierarchy following GCP Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Expertise in GCP networking:
- VPC & Shared VPC design
- Load balancing (L7, L4)
- Private Service Connect
- Hybrid connectivity (Interconnect, VPN)
- Cloud DNS, routing, firewalling
- Strong GCP security experience:
- IAM roles & policies
- VPC Service Controls
- Cloud Armor
- Identity-Aware Proxy
- Resource policies & organization policies
Infrastructure as Code / Automation
- Strong proficiency with Terraform (modules, state management, remote backends, workspaces).
- Experience with Ansible, CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Scripting skills with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Networking & Security
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, firewalls, NAT, VPNs.
- Strong knowledge of network security best practices in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Network Engineer, DevOps Engineer).
- 3–5+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
- Experience working in international or multicultural teams.
