Job Description
Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
About the Team
This role is part of the ANZ Partner Presales team, a member of the Office of the Field CTO, based in Sydney or Melbourne supporting Partners across Australia and New Zealand.
As part of the global Partner Presales team you’ll work closely with our Regional Alliances Managers (RAM) and Leadership, Presales field teams, product, engineering, and global partner teams to help partners build differentiated offerings, accelerate partner outcomes, and help our partners grow scalable, profitable Okta practices.
The Role
As a Partner Solution Architect, you are a senior, partner-facing technologist and trusted advisor. You combine deep technical expertise with strong consultative and communication skills to influence partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
You will work hands-on with partners to design architectures, build blueprints to orient their service practices around, build partner solution proofs of concept, provide technical confidence around product features and practical application for customers, and help Partners achieve technical wins — always working backwards from customer business needs. You’ll help ensure partner and customer decisions today align with long-term architecture and business strategy.
At the Principal level, this role operates with increased scope, autonomy, and strategic impact - shaping partner strategy and driving pipeline, influencing regional outcomes, and driving long-term platform adoption at scale.
*This role requires in-person onboarding and travel to our San Francisco, CA HQ office during the first week of employment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with System Integrator, Solution Provider and additional Focus partners across ANZ
- Evangelize Okta’s vision, strategy, and solutions with technical and business leaders
- Define, along with the Partner, sales plays with packaged service offerings from use-case qualification through to technical win
- Architect and deliver Partner proofs of concept, demonstrations, labs and reference architectures using Okta
- Ensure Partner technical proficiency through workshops, live demos, technical training, best practices, and reusable assets
- Collaborate with sales teams to support partner-led opportunities, improve and accelerate partner pipeline building, and increase partner revenue
- Act as the technical advocate for partners internally, informing Presales and Sales teams on Partner capabilities and influencing product enhancements through facilitated Partner feedback
- Participate in Partner-affiliated events, webinars, blogs, whitepapers, and conferences as a technical thought leader
- Travel as required to support partner efforts and regional events
- Work flexibly across time zones in a global partner environment (note that global travel will be limited)
Principal-Level Responsibilities (in addition to the above)
- Own technical strategy and long-term success for the most strategic and complex ANZ partners
- Influence regional partner GTM strategy, solution positioning, and investment priorities
- Lead multi-partner or multi-country technical initiatives with significant revenue impact
- Serve as a technical escalation point and mentor for Partner Solution Architects and Solutions Engineers
- Drive feedback loops from partners and customers to shape Okta’s product roadmap
- Establish reference architectures, best practices, and repeatable patterns adopted across the partner ecosystem
- Represent Okta as a senior technical voice in executive partner forums and industry engagements
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of combined experience across presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting
- At least 4+ years of hands-on experience architecting, designing and delivering complex identity and access management (IAM) solutions in enterprise environments

- Experience supporting or enabling partner ecosystems or alliances in cloud security, identity, or cybersecurity
- Ability to articulate architectural patterns, design principles, and trade-offs
- Hands-on experience building demos, proofs of concept, or technical solutions
